Our Philosophy at EAT is brilliant in its simplicity, which some might say stems from our French Origins. We believe in sourcing the freshest and finest ingredients for our unique cuisine. Due to our Epicurean way of life we have established long standing relationships with local farmers, wine producers and brewers to ensure that we deliver exceptional offerings to our diners.
Owner Chef Phillipe Wagenfuhrer has achieved much in his career including his brain child Roots Restaurant, which was rated best restaurant in South Africa on numerous polls and forums both locally and internationally 5 years running.
The Kitchen is headed by Raymond Kokota who has been a direct understudy of Philippe for many years. Raymond’s abundant creativity and passion shines through in his passionately crated cuisine, which he regularly revisits and improves on.
Due to our abundant creativity and passion we regularly change our menu offerings and order wine from both local and international wine farms to best pair with our offerings.
